Next to DESASTER, NOCTURNAL are – by far – European black/thrash most revered beast, with a twenty-five years plus long history and countless of releases under their (collective) belt. So after an unprecedented five years gap with no new piece of wax for the fans to sink their teeth into, DOOMENTIA is more than proud to provide the German first release since 2021’s split EP with the glorious SABBAT.

Comprising of two live cuts with crystal clear sound of two of their classics (‘Thrash Attack’ and ‘Nuclear Strike’) recorded at the Nights Of Possessed Festival in Hirschaid. The event happened on December 1 st 2023 and was held in honor of the late Siggi, HELLISH CROSSFIRE who sadly passed away on Xmas Eve 2023. This split EP is dedicated to his memory.

On the flipside, you’ll find two new tracks by the relatively unknown Czech black/thrash command, MORGHUUL. Although they first got together right before the pandemic in 2019, it’s only when they released almost back-back-to-back on DOOMENTIA their demo tape Possessed To Demo and Domination Of The Beast album that they truly came on their own. Often citing NOCTURNAL as one of their key influences, the quartet is honored to be sharing this EP with them, offering two new rage-fueled tracks (‘Serpents Of oom’ and ‘Return To Black Witchery’) proving they haven’t lost an ounce of their wickedness and knack for ripping riffing.

Proudly released by DOOMENTIA, this is classic-in-the-making split EP is strictly limited to 500 copies, with four different color variants and an original artwork by Tomas Mitura from SNĚŤ and VOLE. So more than ever: thrash ‘til death!!!
